Day 7

This is my second post.  I did really well calling people during the week, but haven't done it this weekend. Day 2 I called my good friend, Suzanne.  She always calls me, and I never call her.  She was really happy to hear from me and had a lot to tell me.  I was happy that I called her even though I was really tired. Day 3 I called my big sister.  I hadn't talked to her in a long time.  We're not that close, so there were a few awkward silences.  That's ok though.  I'm really glad I called her. Day 4 I tried to call my stepmom, but she didn't answer.  I then had to decide whether to call someone else or just say that I made my call but they just didn't answer.  ðŸ˜€   I decided to go ahead and call another friend of mine named Jodie.  We had a good chat. Day 5 I tried to call Pat, my stepmom again.  We kept trying to call each other but kept missing each other.  I kept waiting because I figured we would get...

Day 1

For my 30 Day Challenge, I chose to call one friend or family member a day.  I chose this because I'm really terrible at keeping in touch with people.  I also struggle with feelings of anxiety when I think about calling someone that I haven't talked to in a while. I decided to start easy and work my way up to the harder ones.  I called my mother-in-law.  She's a wonderful person, and she's always checking in with me.  She was very happy that I called to check on her this time.  She had surgery a few weeks ago and is recovering nicely. We only chatted for about 10 minutes, and I really enjoyed it. I also made my list today.  I have 2 lists with a total of 32 people.  My first list is people that I feel will be easy to call.  I'll start with that list.  Then, I have a list of people that make me feel a little nervous, but I still think it would be great to catch up with them.
